Lithuanian chicken grown without antibiotics is an exceptional product line, ensuring that chickens for fattening did not get sick and were not treated with antibiotics throughout the entire rearing period. This is certified by the ‘Grown without Antibiotics’ mark, which can only be used by a product manufacturer that has a strict programme for antibiotics use. It ensures traceability while the product labelling has been agreed on with the competent authority, the State Food and Veterinary Service.
In order to raise chicken for fattening without antibiotics, their immunity has to be naturally enhanced. The rearing process is strictly assessed by responsible state authorities. The authorities assess the maintenance of animal welfare, and every bird-rearing and product manufacturing process is analysed.
